Once in a dream

Mixed Media. I used colored pencils, pastels, markers, and water colors. This took forever and I was terrified I would ruin it the entire time because it was purely experimental. It started as a painting exercise that I then got creative and carried away with and then it was too nice to just have it as a test of a technique and I had to finish it. I painted the tree in real time looking at the real thing, and I used these two photos for references (with permission from the owners of course)

This is the first of two entries I am planning on getting in to the dreams contest. I hope I will have the time to finish the second in time. This one is traditional, the next one will be digital.
