Howling Welvin

Welvin??? What is a welvin???

Well, that is the name I made up for flying wolves in my world.

There is a prophecy about welvin.

When the last stone dies with the setting sun, all that is old will be said and done, torn by heaven, the new will come on the wings of a welven

Question: What does that mean? Some people interpret it to mean that welven will be responcible for bringing about the end of the world as it is. This of course promises change... which can be good. Some people who interpret it that way love welvin... and others fear them.

Because of this prophecy, man kind set out on a campaign to kill off all welven before the prophecy could come true, and after one hundred years, the welven vanished. Humans assumed that meant that all the welven were killed off, but that is not what happened. The Samo-Yans built a sanctuary for them deep within their realm, and there the few remaining welven wait, hidden and unknown by humans.

Anyway, this is the symbol kept by Samo-Yans who are charged with protecting the welven. Hope you like it.
