4th annual coloring contest!

Update:
So we have been holding this contest for two months so far, and I am happy to say that the contest is going beautifully. It has received so much interest, and a total of 41 entries so far. Thank you to everyone who entered so far. We still have 2 more months to go too, so if you were thinking of entering, and haven't yet, you still have lots of time to procrastinate. As for the poll about voting, I have decided that I will go with the system of polls choice... and to make it work, I might make some moderate adjustments to the time line regarding the voting (not changing the due date for entering). Notice about prizes
I have been getting this question a lot. "I don't live in the United States, would you still be willing to send me the prize should I win? Can I still enter?" I understand you asking, because it would be disappointing to enter and not even have a chance to win... And I heard that some people do that. they just choose the closest person and give the win to them. But yes, you can win. I don't care if you live on Mars, I will find a way to get the prize to you even if I have to kidnap a NASA team to build a rocket ship to send the prize. I don't even look at the location of an entry until I congratulate them on the win and ask for an address so I can send it.

p.s. Remember the moon bomb thing everyone was screaming about. Well the scientists sent an empty rocket to the moon to kick up dust to study it and see if there is water on the moon, and guess what! They found some. Yep! The moon has water ice on it. Cool, huh. ...no pun intended...

You can choose to color all three, just one, or just two. The choice is yours. The more you color, the more chances you have to win. You will find coloring information in the artist’s comments of each picture; however, you are welcome to color them in any way you want. I do not judge based on conforming to my color code, but the information is there for anyone who wishes to color true to the character designs.

At the end of the contest, I will consult my judges to get their overall impressions, and their feelings about the pictures according to the criterion you can see by clicking on the scoring system link. Then I will be scoring each picture according to the same criterion, keeping the other judges' input in mind as I score them. Using a scoring system and multiple judges helps to make the judging as subjective as possible. When I am finished, I will post all the results so you can see how you did. This will help everyone to see where their strengths and weaknesses are in coloring, and I find that people generally appreciate that. The images with the most points will be the winners.

Timeline:
*The contest begins on September 1st 2009. You can start submitting your entries
*Last day to submit will be January 4th 2010. I will be accepting until I check my messages in the morning of January 5th 2010, so regardless of your time zone, you have until midnight
*Voting will being on January 5th 2010
*Last day for popular vote will be January 11th 2010 midnight
*Results will be posted no later than January 18th 2010 (probably sooner)
*Prizes will be distributed by the end of January

I know, 4 months is a long time for a contest… but I decided to try it out another year since it worked well last time… this gives people time to fit it into their schedules and to color more of the pictures. Sorry if you prefer shorter contests.
